Battlefield 2142 was the same way... how about make a real anti-cheat like Valve.

If you bought 2 copies and are using the 2 separate CD-keys, there shouldn't be a problem, unless you are both on the same LAN, in which case you only need 1 copy of the game.

I just re-formatted my PC because it blew up trying to install Vista Service Pack 1. I re-installed the game, maybe I'm using duplicate CD keys... but taht shouldn't even matter since we're using separate accounts.

The master server checks CD-Keys, only the stats server checks accounts.

are you serious? and Epic games is just gonna let everyone use the same CD key, just make a different account and it should all work right?

The problem I'm having is my husband and I are networked together and are using the same CD key. We can play online on DIFFERENT servers but not on the SAME server. Is there any way we can play on the SAME server using the same CD key? We're able to do it for 2k4 but not UT3. We are in the same clan and would love to play against each other on our server but can't.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Yeah... while personally I believe that constitutes fair use (two people in the same house should be allowed to play the same game together with only one license as sort of the PC-analogy of Split-Screen guest accounts)... the law disagrees. You probably will not get much help from anyone here. Typically for legal reasons.

It would be nice for some companies to allow "tagalongs" for LAN users to connect online as sort of a party-system.

Each online player needs their own unique key.
