    The Redeemer (bugged?)

    I seem to have wasted numerous redeemers on cores and nodes, etc.

    My understanding was that if they are within the radius of the explosion, they will get damaged. Players and vehicles die whilst in the explosion, but do cores/nodes?

    So many times I've fired one to ideally damage the core and wipe out a defence, yet I check the core damage and... nothing.

    I would just test this out off-line, but maybe others will learn too

    So do you need to hit a core/node directly to damage it with the redeemer, or are hidden walls/bugs stopping the core from beind damaged?

    Yeah i had the same problem i dont know if it still exist tho since i stopped playing warfare maps.

      Deemers are definitely buggy, I notice it on all the maps where I pick them up regularly (Floodgate, Downtown, PowerSurge). So many direct hits on a node or core without the slightest bit of damage, it's really frustrating. No idea whether invisible walls/blocking volumes and stuff like that or netcode issues are the problem. :/

            The only time this happens to me is when I hit something by the node/core and it's not a direct hit, like hitting the turret by the core in Floodgate. Even though the core should still be in the blast radius of the redeemer, it didn't take any damage. I just assumed it was a blocking volumes issue. It is a bit annoying though.

              Could it be that someone shot it down just before it hit? You often don't get the "denied" announcement when that happens. Also, if you die before it hits you get the full explosion effect as if it had hit, but no damage.

                Just yesterday I had two clear Redeemer shots on the enemy prime node on PowerSurge that didn't do any damage and there was absolutely no enemy around.

                And about the second bit: I was pretty sure that the explosion does damage even when you die before (given that it doesn't get "denied" the way we're discussing it here), just as the Shaped Charge for example does it too. :O

                  I forgot to say: That only happens for the guided Redeemer (secondary fire).

                          I know what you're talking about, and I believe this is a Powersurge specific problem. Direct hits to the prime node don't do damage. If you plant the deemer on the ground next to the node it works fine however. I have only noticed this on Powersurge. Other maps like Downtown I've had shots where I accidentally hit the beam in from of the prime node rather than the node itself. Since the node is behind the beam it is protected from damage.
