Duplicate login detected - anyone else have this?

Just today, myself and several other people that play with me have developed a new problem. In the middle of the game we are booted to the main menu and this appears:

"Error

Duplicate login detected. You have been forcibly removed from the game."

This just happened to me right now for the first time, but I'm told a restart will resolve it.

Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know what's going on?

I had this a few miniutes ago when my connection (Virgin UK) temporarily went down

I had it once as well. Wierd. Had to log off and on to my profile to resolve it.

Had this twice yesterday, and it has nothing to do with internet connections going down, I was on VOIP with a friend at the time, and that was fine. I went to gamespy and changed my password just in case.

Yeah that's happened to me as well yesterday. I had to log back in to fix it tho I was carrying the flag when it happened!

There's a few threads just like this one, so I guess I was thinking of another one of them. Here's what someone suggested: It's a problem related to custom maps. If you empty your UT3 cache and then don't return to a server with custom maps he said that it won't happen again. Whether or not this is true I don't know.

I remember the post (and thread) you are referring to, and I may even have replied to it. I have absolutely no custom content installed currently. I have never connected to a non-Pure server, nor have I manually installed anything.

In fact, it was on a Pure server (UMG Warfare) that the disconnect/duplicate-login issue occurred randomly for no rhyme or reason.

With that said, though, I can report that it only happened that one night (about a week ago), and it hasn't since, so I'm beginning to think it was just a temporary Gamespy glitch.

I have the same when connected to UMG. And sometimes UT3 even crashes.

Same here, but it also resets (reboots) my modem, and my connection to the net doesn't return unless i reboot the PC.
