joypad? i still dont get it

i still dont get why ut3 doesnt support my game controller, i have patch 1.2, my controller is the ps2 dualshock usb converter, and it doesnt detect my dualshock, what do i do, many people have asked this and the only real reply was to buy a different joypad, how would i work ut3 to make dualshock work?
