Error: Must hav a playstation network connection to Play online Featuees disabled?

I am just WOndering if any1 else is getting this message i hav an internet connection, I hav tried everything i hav been in 1 game and it was laggy as all hell? help plz

yes i have the exact same problem but got online somhow
afterwards now all my servers connections fail or can download core package

this has happened to me before, its usually what happens if i try and skip through the menus too fast

Yeh its getting really annoying, says i need a playstation network connection then signs me out.... also wen i click on join game it freezes for 5 mins then works agen

my main problem is finding a server thats not EU

I getting this problems as well, I hope it's just a server problem that will get fixed soon.

I,ve got same problem, it's been seriously annoying me, but I tried what magaroo said above, started the game and left it for 5 mins and it's ok now. I think it takes a short while to connect to the servers.

disable the load game @ start up option and make sure you are signed in to PSN first, then start game. If you don't want lag don't play on servers with less then 2500 ping. Servers that tell you Core cannot be downloaded are EU servers which we(US) can't join untill the new patch comes out.

Happens all the time. Don't rush the systen. Give it time to do it's magic. Then Look for wicked servers like Frag Fest 2008.

Ok so i should leave it for like 5 mins... if it doesnt work could it possibly be an ISP problem, im from Australia

Ok so i tried it but i get signed out while im waiting i went to an error code guide on the PSN forums, after reading my error code it says the error is becoz i cant connect 2 server or host due to a router config problem so what ports do i need open?
