Just incase anyone hasn't noticed. New Xfi beta drivers available.

Tried a search and couldnt see any threads on the topic. There are new beta drivers for the Xfi dated "9 Jan 08". Version : 2.14.0001

Would post a link but i am from the UK and the files might be region specific.

Haven't had time to do a full test but i managed to play for an hour without crashing so if you haven't already, try your luck.

ive managed to stop my game crashing by replacing the openal and wrap_oal files in my ut3 directory with the one from blacksite : area 51 ... it sounds like poo but it hasnt crashed once in a whole day of playing

now i gotta reinstall ut3 to get the original openal and wrap_oal files back....

::edit:: even newer drivers out http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOU...-2150001.shtml yup thats right, 2.15 0001 , dated yesterday, for vista users if theyre interested... dont have vista myself , just thought i'd post here anyway

      exciting!!

        If I go to SoundBlaster.com, I see sound drivers for my X-Fi Fatal1ty dated 5th Nov. 2007 with a version 0f 2.15.0004!!!

So these 2.15.0001 drivers look older to me.

Also in the release notes on that softpedia page, is says the following :

        Code:
Download the SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_15_0004.exe file onto your local hard disk.
So these look like the same drivers from the SoundBlaster site...

        Anyone confirm this?

well it doesnt matter anyway, it still crashes for me... but between crashes it sounded sooooo much better than the blacksite:area 51 drivers

Doesn't look like there is any beta driver for Vista?
