Log in down?

Usually I get the game to automatically log me in. With the login server down, how can I tell UR 3 to stop trying to log me in and let me play locally ?
Incidentally, Epic, you need a 'Cancel' button available when the game is trying to log you in.

Hey! This can't be true. I bought the game one week ago and now this! Doesn't have Epic a monitoring system and engineers on call to fix problems???

No login here either. The Gamespy server crashed on me last week once too. This system is unacceptable. I can't think of a good reason for them to use or continue to use Gamespy. No features and unreliable.

To play offline if you have Auto login go into UTGame.ini

look for :

[UTGame.UTUIFrontEnd_LoginScreen]
bSavePassword=True
bAutoLogin=False

And set bAutoLogin to False

I am not being hysterical about it.
I only get to play on Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday.
The work week I have no time to play, so I arrange time on the weekends.
And I was looking forward to playing with my son before he has to take off.

It is a **** system to be tied to Gamespy like this.
UTGOTY and UT 2004 worked.
This game has to many bugs.

I too have my game setup to auto log me in.

And I was also planning on watching that Euro match at noon my time.
With it down there will be not match I guess.

That is great for local playing by oneself, but I doubt it will let us both be able to connect to the Seattle server I co-run with a friend.

I don't think it will take more than 2 hours to be back up, who knows though-I could be wrong.

Two hours is 121 minutes too long...two minutes is three minutes too long.

There is NO excuse whatsoever for requiring on-line access unless the user requests on-line access, ie, clicks on "Multiplayer." Even then two hours is still 121 minutes too long, etc.

I searched but I don't seem to have a UTGame.ini file, only a UTGame.u file. Can anyone say where exactly it this? thanks
