the ati 2600xt follow this website. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161207

This is one that will work but i recommend that you look around forums to see which one proforms better in agp class for this game since i hear reports that this can run at around 35 fps on 1680x1050 and some faster on lower res.

This will solve it but its not under $50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161207

In this case i think it if you dont want to spend money for new ram ~90-100$ and processor ($200+) and motherboard( 140-200) then you can get an Nvidia or Ati card that works on agp for about 150 bucks or less. your processor now is the min ut3 supports i think.

You most likely have PCI. Not PCI-E (PCI Express).

You probably have AGP (Advanced Graphics Protocol) as well...

But the bottom line is you have an outdated computer.

As others suggested you will probably want to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard and dual (or quad) core CPU sometime in the very near future. Not just for UT3, but most modern games moving forward.

Prices are always changing, but right now they are in a steady state where you can build a rig from scratch (buy all the parts and put it together yourself) for less than $900 -- Depending on what you need/want/already have.

    For example, you can get:

    -Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
    -4 Gigabyte DDR2 RAM (PC 6400)
    -8800 GT 512 MB DDR4
    -Intel compatible Motherboard (socket 775)
-600 Watt SLI PSU (Power Supply Unit)
    -250 Gigabyte SATA Hard Drive

For as little as $750-800 (U.S.)

    This assumes you already have:

    Mouse
    Monitor
    Keyboard
    OS you can install
    Case

If you need all or any of these then it can be over $1,000.

I know this because I am in the process of selling a rig I built, taking the funds from it and upgrading to specs similar to the ones listed above. I used Neweggs Wish List feature and it all comes out (depending on CPU) to less than $800 for my particular build and this includes shipping.

There is (or soon will be) an AGP version of the ATI Radeon HD3850
    http://www.google.com/search?q=hd3850+agp

Dunno about Nvidia, but maybe they will release a 8800gs to compete here.

Now, if it is worthwhile to buy it, depends on the rest of the system ...

Since you have AGP, your very limited in options. Best if you just start saving up for new MB+cpu+ram+video card.

Here is a review of all video cards currently available.
