UTV, IRC repbot among other tools?

I am wondering. From what I gather there is a problem with UT3 today that it doesnt have any functionality to send data outside the game itself. This makes tools such as IRC repbot or UTV to mention a few virtually impossible.

Will there in future patches be done anything from Epic Games to try and adress this situation?

As it is today the gameplay apeals to comptetive communities but the tools around the game doesnt.

Anyone else want to share any thoughts on this?

We can hope that they'll make an in-game IRC browser and what not, but don't hold your breath.

I dont really care about IRC ingame browser I am more interested to know if they even plan to implement the tools needed so that one could develop for exampel a IRC reporter. I feel that atleast IRC reporter is necesseary for the competetive community. Give them something to gather around for official cup games and etc. UTV or IRC report bot would fill that function.

This is just my opinion on the matter, but it would be interesting to know if Epic are even looking at these aspects.

UTV would indeed be very handy. Specially with a NationsCup coming up. If we can broadcast games at that level it should be possible to bring a lot more people to this game!

Games can be broadcast atm, however it requires the whole 'tv' thing rather than ingame. That's how the EU vs NA match will be broadcast on the 16th
