How do you hold on to vechicle

How do you hold onto a vechicle with the link gun (PC version). Everytime I try this ...... I just hold it for a second while the vehicle flys away lol

so what should I be pressing to do this?

it's not the link gun. You have to be on your hoverboard, press q, and then you fire to grapple the back of a vehicle.

i have the download version from direct2drive.......i am sure there's a manual on the site, but too lazy to look lol
