Do you want to see some MOTION BLUR?!

I SAID: DO YOU WANT TO SEE SOME MOTION BLURRRR?!

"Why, yes Ultron, we want to see what it would look like!"

Well I found a way to see it up close and personal in the game, if only using a crude workaround to see it.

    Here is what you do:

    Go to:

    C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\CookedPC\Maps

Doubleclick on a map name, such as DM-Deck.ut3

From there, you'll get a dialogue box asking what program you want to associate with that file extension type.

From that selection menu, browse to:

    C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries

    Pick UT3.exe

From there, that map will open up.

When you get there, move the mouse all around. If you do it fast enough you'll see motion blur _everywhere_.

i almost passed out when i thought my AA setting were working...but nope, still not.
i always wondered why in the early on tutorial vid that they had motion blur on when testing out their maps..
so the problem is the map? or the ut3.exe?

In the editor you can set the postprocessing options for your map. including motionblur.

Maybe when launching the map this way you bypass the user settings and take the map settings.

Man, if someone could figure out a way to implement this in-game. That would be cool.

              (as in, for all maps)

btw these pics were taken on a Vista32bit + a single ATI 2600XT 512MB/DDR3 DX10 *hey, gotta reprezent for my boys in red...or not haha

just curious, but can someone on a DX9 card test this out? it wont work at world detail lvl4 and under; of course unless you tweak the ini's.

                      QFT.

Motion Blur and UT3 should go hand in hand.

Seriously, why wouldn't you want to make this an option?

Seems to me it hurts the fps kinda :P, must say I liked how the landscape pics looked but in all games there was motion blur and an option to turn it off I used it it looks nice but it's just not for me

yeah it kinda kills 5-10 of your fps,....esp if you play outdoor warfare map.
i took some screens on a Holp map with my FPS in top left corner. There was no sudden performance dip at all, which is nice.
