Good guide. A few notes from my own experience:

I only managed to pin someone to a wall with a stinger alt-fire once but it was hilarious. I think it was when the guy tried to jump off a wall he just hangs there like he crucified and u can pretty much finish him off military execution style ))

The impact hammer's alt-fire can frustrate the hell out of enemy mantas and vipers if they try to spawn camp and you're good at dodging - it knocks em back slightly so u gotta time hit em just before they get too close - kills a full health manta in like 3-4 hits its a very satisfying feeling if you can pull it off. The regular fire is cool to use when jumpin down on an unsuspectin enemy if say he's tryin to get at your core and doesn't see you ))

Seems like the hellbender is "unflippable" - if you fall off a cliff or any high spot it seems to always land on its wheels unlike the scorpion - however a AVRIL shot always rocks it back heavy messing up the line of the shock combo.

If I'm not mistakened, the link gun primary fire can heal your teamates (whilst the alt fire heals vehicles..)

One thing I would like to know is something about the alt fire of the impact hammer. Do you have to release it at the right moment to, for instance kill a manta, or pray that it goes off automatically?

        1. You cannot heal your teammates unless they are in a vechile. The Link Gun's secondary can of course be used to power up your teammates's link.

        2. The 2nd Fire for the Hammer is automatic against mantas and vipers, but it usually costs you a good amount of heath when you use it.

Your rate of fires are off for the weapons. Theres no way the enforcer and the rocket launcher have the same rate of fire!

Other than that real nice guide

wtf .... by medium I meant between 30% and 70% ROF (of all weapons). There isn't 3 ROF settings in the game, I'm just making approximations, and I can barely run the Editor so I'm not going to start looking for actual weapon/vehicle specs in there.

As for the IH Alt-Fire, I've read in many places it takes 2 shots to take out a Manta, but yes it will cost you a great deal of your health. And don't forget what I said, this will *eject* the enemy from their vehicle, so you're better off Alt-Firing the Manta, then jumping in it (if possible, don't know if it locks it).

There are only 4 things that can block projectiles in UT3:
-Other players (not counting splash damage + sniper rifle)
            -Vehicles
            -Walls
            -Invincibility powerup

Oh and thankyou to Mr Evil, I didn't spend much time playing with the Hellbender but what you've said justifies the slowness of the vehicle, and towards the end of my UT3 rampage I did notice that players in the vehicle were pretty unstoppable (unless you were good at getting behind with the manta/scavenger/viper).

I've killed tons of mantas and vipers with impact hammer altfire and the only time it take away most of ur health is the last hit when the vehicle actually explodes in close proximity. Also I've never been able to eject anyone out of the vehicle with the impact hammer altfire and I tried this on purpose on various stationary targets.

Please someone show me the video of some sort of ejecting ppl with the impact hammer, I always loved gettin upclose and personal in all FPS games I've played so if it IS possible somehow, then u know I'll be more hands-on )

You can't. One of the devs slipped-up in an interview and said you could, but only the deployable EMP has this ability.
Personally, I'd love to be able to eject with the hammer alt, as well.

Would have made sense though since its kinda hard to hit them things with it anyways

Also another question - it seems killin those mantas etc. with the alt fire doesnt add to your impact hammer kills in the stats? Looks like only the primary fire kills are added???

How do you make the Nemesis and Nightshade go fast?

                      Is it just me?

"Crouch" when in the Nemesis to make it go faster. You cannot aim when in that mode though. Also note that you can press the jump key to stand taller, giving you a higher rate of fire at the expense of movement speed. For the Nightshade, simply uncloak.

As someone else mentioned, this hammer alt-fire is beneficial to knock off the invulnerability or shield belt. Berserk, Amp, and Invis - you may as well just kill him with the primary fire.

Also, you should note that the hammer can be used to boost jumps. To help people get higher, or even help run the flag in CTF game modes.
