    Sneak peek preview: CTF-infested LE101

    Just a sneak peek into my upcoming map for the community
    this is a remake of ctf infested le101 its only following the layout because in terms of graphics, I wanted to really polish this map with a new feel and look.

    The original map was made by the Author: Emil “HypErioN” Attlid.

    Im only 1/4 the way finished, so yes the lighting is a little dark at this stage.. will be fixing this.. the screens show main hallway and left base entrance ( now looks over city )

    Update 1
    gave a new more consistent look to the hallway..

    and made the link gun room.. still basic lighting though.

    working on one of the main rooms and the flag room now.

    took my awhile to do this, its not easy doing big rooms, as there's allot more detail that needs to go into, it. Im not too happy with this room so far, but there's still more to do on it. Just one more room this size on the other side of the flag room and a hallway then ill be done.
    I couldn't remake it without the big team logos on the window there, so i had to make this material modifying the team logo seen in the old version of onyx coast.

      ummm the scale is very close to the original, but the joining halls between bases is tight on purpose because im sick of how open maps have become.. this is a return to ut1
      and it may be hard to tell in the pics of that area, 3rd pic, but that's twice the height of the player under the beams

            thanks, im interested to know what people think so far because it is using a post processing volume, and i know allot of people dont like the look of that, if so i would prob have to release a version with this and the light haze's off.

            I dont want people to think its guna suck when i say this, but it is my first map.. I know what your thinking "it wont look that good" well it looks better, i have an eye for this thing, and i do have history with the editor.. this is on par with epics maps, beter then some if you ask me.. defiantly made coret look bad in my eye

            Im very excited about finishing this a presenting it to thee community, it will look great and play well and will have great bot support (something im a pro at)

                Arer there any more themes than this necris **** up robot like something and the asian stylish?

                    When will it be online?

                    I haven't played UT3 for a week and a half. I've been out of state visiting family with my fiance and I'm itching to play some UT.

                    I need it!!!

                        Perhaps you're not familiar with the slang, but I think he meant it as a compliment - tight as in great.

                          bazz, it look great and yes lighting is critical. I used to play this map in UT years ago. I also used to review maps for InSite with CTF being my forte' so if you want someone to give a InSite type review before you release it just let me know. :-)

                            The post processing looks great. It's hard to imagine these shots looking better with it disabled.

                            I'm looking forward to seeing this released.

                              There was also a CTF-Breathe map in UT that would make a KILLER remake for UT3. What do you need to remake a map? Just the map & textures itself or something more then that?
