You can play UT3 for PC without the disc even in it! I just did that a couple minutes and it works.

UT2030 did it after patch one... ...UT3 does it from day one. That is new.

Honestly I had no idea until I tried playing without DVD by accident. Very nice surprise, as usually I have more than 3 (non-steam) games in my rotation.
