What happened to split screen?

Here i had gone and gotten my hopes up thinking that they would have 4 player split screen for the ps3 and now that i have the game I find they dont even support 2 players on one console. I hope this can be fixed cause the game KICKS ***!! every other way and being able to have 4 player split screen with bots would ensure the wii gets put to the side on game night.

They've already said they will evaluate bringing this feature up in the future, in their FAQ that is stickied on the front page.
