My whole entire point of making this thread was to prove that we are not on the same team. I would like to be apart of the UT3 community here, however I wasnt met with welcoming arms. . . .
I came here thinking we are all on the same team. I came here to discuss UT3.

Sev1512 and PS3: Well, be more diplomatic in the future. Don't lob rocket grenades into the forum if you truly want there to be a combined community of PS3 and PC playing and working together in harmony.

And keep in mind that this is one of the oldest FPS communities. Undoubtedly, the PC gamers should give the PS3 players more respect, but PS3 is the n00b here and has to also work to earn that respect. Do that through playing the game well and contributing to the community in other ways. And, just ignore the elitist ******** you might find in any such long standing community.

PC Gamers: Don't be idiots. As Ultron has pointed out, only the UI seems to be consolized.

Meanwhile, the UT community has been dying without a game update since 2004. How many times has Epic projected a new quarter release for this game over the years? When was the original projection? It's happened so many times, I don't remember. If the PC UT community was so strong that potential sales were there, we'd have had a new game version long before now. It's not. The market for games is now consoles. Accept it. Without the consolers, there likely might not even be a game, or we'd just have some minor update of UT2K4. Instead, we have a great new revision in the UT franchise that just needs some minor fixing and polish.

PC and PS3: Look towards the future. UT3 has the opportunity to become a larger, more thriving community. Both PC and PS3 have to work together to accomplish this. Both have to demonstrate better sportsmanship through a willingness to work together. And we need a server patch which will allow PC/PS3 play online (see my sig; add the same to yours).

I never once said the PS3 was better. In fact I said the PC version was probably better.

I understand where you are coming from with the dumbed down games, as I have a PS3 and have to suffer because the 360 only uses DVD9.

Well I havent suffered yet. But I am **** sure GTA4 would have been better if it was a Sony exclusive.

I still dont bash the 360 either, its still a great console too. However I dont like Microsoft and I dislike the way they made it so the system will be obsolete withing the next 2 years.

Why is that? I think that this thread made my point perfectly clear.

Sure there was some arguing, but in the end, I think the general consensus is that the PS3 is a great system, and UT3 on it is great. However a HIGH end PC has the edge. However some cant afford it nor want it.

I dont feel as much that the PS3 is hated now that I have seen some really good responses.
The only one person who made this thread out of control was supreal. And I of course defended his mindless rants.

The part that sucks big time about all this is that we can't all play against each other like it seemed from all the hype they were putting out. THIS IS JUST PLAIN STUPID. I mean REALLY stupid. IF we could all play together online I'm sure there wouldn't be a big division at all. Oh well, that with the fact they waited to release the game when their is a HUGE flood of games already on the market right now, may just put our great ut3 PC game in the dumper. I know I'm not the only one who has noticed their doesn't seem to be as many people on like their should be... I'll play until their is no one left but I'm sadden by the way the games are divided...

No sense fighting over it. This reminds me of the Mac vs. PC thing. Maybe we need a UT3 commercial like that. Whichever system you like, PC or console, just use it! I bought the original Xbox back when Halo came out and because of it. I never messed with the PC version. I like to stick with the system that the game was originally designed for. Back in the late 70's to early 80's I had always dreamed if I could have an arcade game in my house. I was an arcade addict. Consoles are great as a dedicated platform for games. No fuss no muss. You know the game will run on it. I just hated (with the old Xbox) how sometimes the flaky DVD drive would give a read error in the middle of a game. I might get a Xbox 360 at some point since the power supply finally died in my old Xbox. But I recently ordered and bought my new PC with high end in mind to last me a bit more into the future than I did with previous computers. And I use it for more than just games too. Yet I did try to pick components and time buying it with UT3 in mind. I'm happy how it runs at maximum graphics and performance is good. I'm glad you like UT3 on your PS3 console too. Ok, so we all wanted to be treated equal. That's perfectly fine, and both parties should. Opening thread's like this will not help.

Instead of starting a landslide like this (12 pages? lol) be the better man and just ignore those who choose to act out and put down other's and just stick to the thread's that help other's and that intrest you.

I prefer PC because that is my taste and preference. That does not make PC better than PS3 that simply means that is my preference and what is right for me. There are those that can't afford Uber PC's. There are those who prefer Sixaxis over Keyboard and Mouse, There are those that prefer a computer chair and those that prefer a couch. There are those who have both and like both.

Just because you prefer something does not make it right for someone else. That seems to be a repeating theme with human nature in all facets of life.

I recommend this thread be closed on the grounds of being full of flame and fail.

Yep. Xbox UT3 will be the redheaded step child of the UT3 community.

(we do have to be nice to them once UT3 Xbox is released. but we (pc/ps3) can have fun--together--making fun of them until then )
