Nope wasnt cheap, but I watch television on it just about daily so, I dont really consider that part of my gaming expenses.

Exactly it wasn't cheap!!! It was a hell of a lot more expensive than many rigs here! The reason I hate console gamers is because they are clueless and have no idea of what they are talking about. Anyways I can't stand controllers, and UT is not the real UT on PS3. Slower gameplay ftl. That goes to show you that a controller can't do what a KB+M can.

BTW: I can watch TV on my rig if I wanted to so that makes your "I watch television on it!" completely worthless.

Console + HDTV + 5.1 speakers are a hell of a lot more expensive than a gaming PC with a nice LCD, and 5.1 speakers. I can't stand it when people pull BS out of their as*.

I bash on consoles because they rarely have good games. I have not appreciated a game on a console since FF3. I feel the platforms are great, but that the games are aimed at a young player base and designed poorly. 90% of the console game I have owned, i have stopped half-way through and sold. Halo 1, KOTOR 1 and NFL Fever 2002 are the only games from the last generation I still own, the rest I thought where garbage.

tl;dr version:
I feel the console games are of a lower quality than the standard PC game (even with UT3 that still holds)

I have my computer connected to my big screen, what is your point? I can play games, movies, i can work in CAD and many other things on my TV. I have my sound connected to my surround system so I can listen to the movies in all there glory (i game w/ a headset).

Exactly! Which is why console gamers are so clueless. Half of them probably don't even know that you can hook up a PC to a TV. I think I should just gear my quote towards console gamers.

I disagree with this entirely. I feel that the vast majority of good titles hit consoles first or exclusively now. You just have such a massive amount of titles hitting console's they aren't always the easiest to find.

Playing games like Zelda for Wii, Mario Galaxy, Gears of War...GEARS outshines or comes close to basically any game that hit the market last year on PC OR CONSOLE.

Granted, I don't buy a lot of games for my consoles, but there is just some GREAT gaming out there for them. I hate the limitations of console gaming and think they're still years behind PCs in that respect with community building and game support, but overall, once you get a top to bottom incredible experience of a game like GEARS, which is what i bought the 360 for, I realized that I had been remiss in rushing to judgments like this.

Stop treating the PS3 like some type of trashy hooker.

IF that was the case you would all be catching something seeing that your beloved Unreal has had the pleasure of being played in a great system.

Almost every thread I see has people bashing the PS3, and saying PC is superior.

You should see UT3 community as a whole, rather then telling all the PS3 owners to drink from a different water fountain...

I am console owner, always have been. I like playing with a controller rather than being hunched over with a KB/M. I also like playing on my 50"1080p HDTV from the comfort of my couch.



There are positves and negatives to owning either version.

Stop being so stuck up, thinking your better than PS3 owners because you PC cost you a small fortune.

I think you got the wrong idea.
As far as i can see some ppl want the ps3 to have there own section.
Just to eliminate the confusion between talking about pc and ps3.

Btw the pc will always be superior anyway as we can upgrade quicker than the next gen console comes out.but thats not the point.

I would much rather play

Gears for PC
UT 3 for PC
Crysis
Bioshock for PC
Call of Duty 4 for PC
Company of Heroes
World in Conflict

Than any of those games you mentioned. Multiplat games will always look better than console games. Yes I am a graphics *****. I don't care. I like shiny!!!
