Epic,
Is there any possibility that an auto update feature could be added? I ask this for a number of reasons. Firstly, it would ensure that clients and servers are are on the same page and transitions to newer patches and updates would become less noticeable and seamless. I have a love/hate relationship with Steam, but I find the automatic updating of servers and client to be a Advantage and a good tool for the developer to use when making needed corrections no matter how small.
Secondly, People are innately lazy. They don't want to search and install patches. People want to be hassled as little as possible - particularly where entertainment is concerned.
Lastly, it could improve revenue. Already many know that buying UT3 means buying a product that isn't really finalized. A system that focuses on dynamic change (automatic updating) reassures the consumer the company is committed to improving their product with less burden on the consumer.
One important aspect of marketing is that a person with a good experience tells 3 people on average as opposed to one with a bad experiencing telling 10.
