5v5 seems a bit low for a warfare game considering the size of the maps, but good to see these pickup channels for good games

It's the official modus in the clanbase warfare-ladder.
The maps are smaller then most of the UT2k4 Onslaught-maps and if there is teamplay it's lot of fun.

Note, the clanbase warfare ladder matches can varie from 4on4 to 8on8. When the pickup fills up good we might be able to upgrade to 6on6 or even higher. Just need some people to fill it now. I think its much more fun than public, everybody is organised

Is this on any particular server or does the channel exist in all servers?

Aye sorry forgot to mention. Quakenet.org

Clickable link (only works with certain irc clients and they have to be running)

This is a Euro channel, right? It's important to post that info, since there are a lot of NA WAR players too. There's no reason we can't idle in each other's channels, but a player in Seattle probably won't want to pug on a server in Leipzig.

QuakeNet is more or less only European, no real need to ask.

Many new players may not know that...and the first post doesn't list the IRC network. (The subject header now does, tho, which is great. TY. )

Just try some pickups and you'll notice that most of the maps play really well with low player counts - in fact 5on5 works much better than anything else I've played in WAR up to now, be it on 16, 24 or 32p servers. Best examples are Downtown, Market, Islander and even Floodgate.

                    GGs so far.
