Herro, 1st post! Bot questions!

Hi everyone, I searched the forum for a similar thread dealing with my question but found none, so here i go. Is there a way to add more bots in instant action, possibly tweaking the.ini files or whatnot. I was dissapointed when i realised i could only play with teams of 8.

It was some kind of real odd choice but whatever it is, they've fixed it in the Beta patch they are testing, so don't worry, in a month or 2 (when it comes out for public release with tons of fixes and hopefully new content) you'll have it, i'm quite annoyed with this as well.

Before you start a match, go to 'next' then adjust the slider for bot amount. If that is what you are asking about.

As of right now... The only way to add more bots than in the menu is to alter the UTGame.ini file.

I changed the max bots to 32 for all the maps

I have a Dual Core CPU and mid-range GPU and was able to play WAR-Torlan with 19 bots (10 vs 10; 20 player total). I was amazed at the high performance (FPS). The only place it would slow down is near the real time portals... But this is an issue EVERYONE experiences and was not because of the added AI Routines.

I believe you can type addbots # in the console in game to add that many more to the level

Look for...

[NumBots_Common UTUIDataProvider_MenuOption]
OptionSet=Common
DataStoreMarkup=<UTGameSettings:NumBots>
OptionType=UTOT_Slider
RangeData=(MinValue=0.0,MaxValue=16.0,bIntRange=1, NudgeValue=1.0,CurrentValue=4.0)

Change MaxValue=16.0 to MaxValue=32.0

Save. You can now specify the number of bots using the slider in the menus. You don't have to type "add bot" in the console each time you play a map any more.

yeah this anti-asian sentiment is really annoying in society. at my old job I had a co-worker who hated some asian people because they didn't speak english very good. now for me, as long as you try to speak english and don't expect me to speak a diffrent language, your good.

I think we should try to respect people who try to speak english, no matter how bad. as long as you learn english and try, its good enough for me.

BTW thanks for th info on increasing the bot number, that is kinda weird, only getting 16.
