Omicron 6 = Earth? [ Possible Spoilers ]

Ok, here's about Omicron 6 being Earth.

First we see the Ronin's ship whizz by what is exactly our Moon:



And then, this is most definetely Earth ( Black sea, Red sea, Mediterranean sea all show up ):



Now I agree the planet looks really cool as a visual treat, but either Omicron is truly Earth, or the artists were lazy and thought they could get away without making a new planetary texture. Pick one.

Also clearly seen are the Anatolian and Arabian peninsulas and the Caucasus mountains. So definitely either Omicron 6 is Earth, or the artists were lazy.

Since the moon (very strikingly similar) is present, I'm awfully tempted to think it is indeed earth.


Which further lends to NEG meaning a goverment on a New Earth.

Look similar yes, as in terrain colouration and composition such, but not landmasses looking the same.

Yeah. Sure a lot of inhabitable planets would share similar features, but no two planets would have the exact same land and water configurations.

Earth is Earth. The New Earth Government is not the government of a planet called New Earth.

There's nothing blurry about that screencap - it's very clearly using the Earth as its texture. And this wouldn't be the first time the timeline's been altered with a new game.

Though atm I'm banking on lazy artists rather than intentional use.

I believe that the ancient cult that gave rise to the Phayder and the necrification process terraformed Omicron 6 in an attempt to replicate Earth as closely as possible for mysterious religious reasons.

Either that, or the artists were lazy.
