There's three things that make me think this:
1. At the start of Chapter V, when Reaper tells Malcolm he's going to take a ship and follow Akasha through the wormhole, Malcolm jokes: "Are you going to take on the whole Earth army?"
2. Later in the same cutscene, you see the Ronins' ship approach the Necris homeworld, and I can clearly see what is the Black Sea ( East Europe ).
3. The architecture is somewhat Turkish in design, and there's pretty much no sci-fi advanced designs. So it's old buildings, taken over by the nanoblack.
What do you think? Personally, having Earth screwed up like this is something I really like in the Unreal storyline.
