    geforce 7600gs

I am having major problems with this game. I am running duel 3.24ghz processors a gig of memory and a geforce 7600gs with 512mb of memory. Every time I try and load a game whether its instant action or try and play online it freezes my computer up. It will sometimes shut off my monitors and then they restart but in a weird color. Please help if you can.

Ive got a 7600 GT, had horrific problems (freeze ups, bsod), updated the drivers, seems ok now, but I've heard gfx overheating is a problem.

Did you download the latest nvidea drivers? I had that problem until I updated the drivers.

I have a AGPx4 7600GS 256MB on a really old computer with 2.4GHz 512MB XP. Tweaked one thing in the INI and it works freaking perfect. I don't know the exact framerate thou, but everything is just so great. No freezes, no lockups. Quite some loading times, but it's well worth it.

Got my copy of the CE today.

        Thank you Epic!

back down the game details till the probs stop. Playing some maps in my 7900 GTS OC crashed also, I backed off the details and that stopped the crashes.
You have a lower end card you may be better to try the lowest. Test it on the same map you crashed on in intant action.
Up the details a notch, if it crashes back off one.

I have two eVGA 7600 GS in SLI mode, and have no problems whatsoever.

You may want to check in the UTEngine.ini for
                      UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=False
and set it to true, unless it is already. It's supposed to help with bugs in the 6 and 7 series.

                        Bump!

7600 GS here and same crashing issues! Updated drivers and still same issues. What needs to be tweaked again?

                        Edit?

There is no UTEngine.ini in my game folder? Perhaps another file name?

                          My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config\

is your default location of ini files, screenshots, demos etc.

                            I have defaultengine.ini not UTengine.ini. Same file?

Also, I did find a UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True in that default file, and it is already set to true. Still crashing and sometimes won't even load to main menu without crashing.

                              Do not change the defaultfiles
Search for utengine.ini, it has to be somewhere
