Just my opinion about ut3

First of all, i love ut series, love Epic; im noob at this forum, but not at ut gaming.... start playing with ut99, and love 2k4, spend more time at 2k4 than in my university and my job..., so i think i can make a opinion, i know about my fav game.
what is bad with ut3?, in MY OPINION...

1. Shock rifle; 2k4 shock was build for rly skilled gamers, this new ut3 shock loooks like a noob spaming weapon, bye bye aiming skills.

2. Horrible secondary flack fire, balls and more spam balls now, u cant aim that...

3. No shield gun= no tactical game,,,, no shield jumps (this is the state of the art for the old CTF art!!!), and 0 deffense agains noob spam... bad for 1 vs 1, in my opinion the worst against 1 vs 1 and CTF.
Sry but the weapons r overpowered, we need a **** shield here.

4. No dodge-jump, ok, jump is for noobs; but what about dodge movements?, wall jump now is a noobish useless jump.

5. terrible, horrible UI... this is more a console game than a pc game... i hate that.

6. the last but the most important, and maybe the root of all this problems,
ut3 should be for PC gamers (real gamers), but looks more like only a console game (sry but consoles r.. for noob gamers)...
I know, Epic need a comercial game, this is all about money guys, and now the consoles r the comercial answer; but wth u want with this? a console game played by our kids? (maybe player for the first half of the year) after that, another of 10000000 console games that nobody want to play?, another game stoned in ur stand?
or u want a real game for real PC gamers, enjoying this for years as ut2k4.

well, now 2 ways.

1. Epic make a real future patch solving this issues for PC gamers, i dont care about consoles.., im sure im not the only 1 with this opinion. make a **** poll asking what we need? or maybe try with better and real beta testing people before releasing a game!, who was testing and developing this game? Xbox360 sellers???

or

2. Do nothing, and see how this game becomes only a game for console gamers. and see how the oldi pc gamers and rly fans of ut series as me comeback to 2k4...

Its only my opinion, and sry about this, i was waiting much time for this game, i will play ut3 ofcourse, as i said i love ut series, BUT PC SERIES, not console trash.... im sure i will enjoy ut3, but CAN BE BETTER.!!!

I will not force moved to a **** console, i want my UT3 PC game.
A UT3 copy and a new vid card was my idea of Xmas gift for this year, but now rly im not sure...

Shock rifle works under the same concept now as then: hitscan. It is no more susceptible to spamming than it was in the past (I think you and I disagree on whether spam is an acceptable tactic, I do) Really skilled? If you can point an click you can be successful with a hitscan weapon.

Been playing the demo much? They fixed that (to a degree) in the full version.

Edit: I can envision you in a war somewhere, bleeding out your gut, and saying "Doesn't count, you weren't aiming at me. That was spam, you noob. Now can you hand me my entrails?"

Tactics are only possible with a shield gun? Your defense against spam is the shoot the spammer.

I think Epic cares. I care too, because if they don't make money, they won't stay in business. Perhaps one day when you're a philanthropist, you can create a NPO to make PC games dedicated strictly to quality. Until then, take your medicine.

I realize it makes all the sense in the world from a business perspective, but how much money someone makes from an action doesn't make it any more right, perhaps more understandable, but not more right. At least not to me.

As for "spam" being a noob's tactic, I don't think you could be more wrong. There's a decent level of skill involved with making good kills with the flak and rockets. Not everyone can lead shots, and those who can are **** good at it. You need a good sense of prediction to do well with the "spam" weapons as opposed to the hitscan point-and-click weapons. But if you're good with leading/prediction you can also be a **** good shock rifler.

Yes, that's pretty much it, Epic doesn't have any moral obligations as a buisness, I understand that, they're out to make money. But I woun't applaud everything they do just because it made them money, that would just be downright moronic from a consumer perspective.
Please understand also that I do not fully agree with the capitalistic system.
