I like game play better when...

I like game play better when all the eye candy is shut off in the game. Setting everything to 1 takes away all the distractions that come with the eye candy. Makes the game run much better too.

Hey guys...thanks for your opinions. I was just saying what was on my mind that's all. No need to make this anything more then what it is.

Yes, I will keep playing UT2K4 and yes, I will also play UT3, but all the eye candy for me is not aways the best option when playing online against other players.

I like UT3, it's just that it's different from all the other ones and like me I'm an old skooler UT99 so it will take time to get used to this new one.

Sorry, but lowering the graphical settings doesn't suddenly change the core gameplay of UT3 into that of UT2K4.

So no, simply playing UT2K4 won't fix the problem. Try again.

Are you just allowed to kiss epics **** and not complain one bit???

So far i havent tried the full version of ut3, i tried the beta demo and that demo succeded only in me installing UT2004 and playing the hell out of that game again.

I like the movement better in UT2004, feels more fun and fluid there. And even though the technology behind UT3 is far supirior to UT2004 but the art style seriously sucks in UT3, its just all feels grey, its just boring to look at. I had the the same feeling when i played Gears Of war.

Then why post here? It seems misguided to do so. What purpose are you achieving? Search the forums. Numerous comments such as these about why people like UTK4 better have been posted. Why do we need more threads like that? Threads are not meant to be general customer satisfaction survey threads (although I imagine Epic enjoys positive feedback).

Consider, too, that you might want to share the love instead of the hate. If you like UTK4 better, then why not go discuss that on the UTK4 forums? Talk there about why you like it better than UT3 rather than posting here about why UT3 is worse. It'll have a more positive effect.

On the other hand, what's accomplished by posting in the UT3 forums by repeating general negative criticism that has already been said numerous times? People that like UT3 don't want to read it. People that are trying to provide new, constructive criticism of UT3 for improvement don't want to read it. Epic probably doesn't care either.

And now you have your answer as to probably why Epic is deleting such posts.

For you maybe, I am constantly at the 90fps cap online everything maxed out at 1280x1024. The lowest settings make the characters blend into the backgound = NOT GOOD.
