Content Missing?

What's with the profuse lack of content!? There isn't even a map cycle randomizer, a lot of the HUD and announcer options from 04 are absent, several things about this edition seem... gone? There's no "Fit to Map" selection for amount of opponents? The PC version seems to be like a console version... on the PC? >.> Has there been any release on this, or does anybody have a rational for it? It's... rather disappointing. The gameplay's just what I thought it would be, stunning visual, etc, but... What's wrong with more content? >.>

Some other stuff. They couldn't have added in a stat tracker or something? UT's always been missing one, I think it'd be a neat addition... Or perhaps that's on Gamespy? I miss the post game stats with weapon efficiency and all that stuff...

In any case, sorry for complaining so much, 'cause the rest of the game really is awesome, guess it's just easier to talk about the things you're dissatisfied in...

I think the whole 'cross-platform release'-thing bit Epic in the ***. I'm still having a great time, but I can see where some of the slip ups are. And I agree with your last statement: it's far easier to complain than to compliment.

UT3's launch felt alot like when UT2k3 came out, which is actually good news to me. Because now I know they'll be a super mega bonuspack/expansion in the near future! UT3's UT2k4 will hit within a year, if ya know what I mean.

Yes, please, Please, PLEASE make this for UT3. There was absolutely no better utility for UT2004 than this and I wouldn't mind having it for the original UT as well. But, of course, first things first, UT3 needs it far more than UT99.

While I won't dispute the overall validity and intent of the arguments the original poster makes, I do wish people would realize that UT2004 was the product of combining two very similar games. If Epic tried to duplicate all of that content for UT3, it would have taken years longer and the cost of making the game would have grown exponentially.

*eh* there does appear to be stat-tracking in the game.
At least in the community-part you can see that the game can track killingsprees and almost every possible reward you can get in this game.
I'd wish that it would work off-line as well, but I guess that's a relatively minor issue.

As far as the announcer is concerned it is odd that it isn't a standard option, but then again it was added in a patch/bonuspack for UT2kx after release as well.

I think the best rationale is that Epic/Midway decided that they couldn't afford to wait any longer and thus had to release what was finished and add what is 'missing'/unfinished in patches and bonuspacks.

That's not to say that it would have been nice if we had gotten all the features that were present in previous versions. I just wonder how much longer everyone was willing to wait, considering that people already complained that Germany got to play UT3 a week before the rest of the world ...

As for actual missing content: The "Stealthbender" is listed in the stats as a vehicle, but we all know it's not in-game.

The Stats in the community section is all broken so it's not worth much. I don't care about the delay it takes to count the new rounds you've played but it's missing like 50-75% of the things I've done.

Never I would have imagined that UT could have gone from the best PC game ever made to a lame Console Port.

Lack of maps ok... I trust "a little" Epic to make a map pack someday, but lack of VERY SIMPLE features... no I don't even thing that they'll add them in futur patch cause they're too lazy and ******!

I'd love to have save your favorite server back, it' getting really old to have to enter the server ip every single time. Also it looks like I have to log into a server to do this, I can't do it from the menu's?
