    Scavenger cling to wall broken?

I've tried under arches, halls, next to smooth walls, walls with a lot of texture and falling from a high place to cling to a wall by pressing jump whilst in the air but the scavenger just wont cling. How do I do it?

I've never seen anyone else do it either.

    Here's the description from epic:
Special Ability/Attribute: The Scavenger has the unique ability to jump and attach itself to any surrounding object or piece of the enironment. A player can approach a wall or underpass and press the "Spacebar" to jump, press the spacebar again and continue to hold it down and the scavenger will hook onto the wall.

ive never heard of this before...thought it was just a vehicle that could roll up, and cut up surrounding ground soldiers...

I've read reports here in this forum that it can be done. Apparently it can't be a completely vertical object. Keep trying!

Huh, I searched the forums and couldn't find a post.
Man, that kind of limits the things you can cling to. I've been trying and nothing worked

It can repair/build nodes in warfare EXTREMELY fast.

Still can't do the wall cling. I think Epic has majorly crapped out on a lot of aspects of this game. The UI, map sizes and quantity, character models, and this feature which is altogether missing.

Didn't realize the scavenger could do that. The nightshade also has the ability to build nodes. It's basically an uber link gun mounted to a vehicle. Necris seem to have a bit of an advantage in warfare.

Maybe such a thing would have messed with map design too much.

would have been cool being able to cling to the top of a cave or something, so you could ambush people...... hehehe

sad its been removed by the looks of it tho

I actually like they have an advantage because they still can be beaten. I'm working on a map right now specifically tailored to Axon vs Necris. Hope it works out well.

But it's not something you have to design into the map. The description says any object.

Anybody been able to do it? Speak up.

I mean just the opposite. If there's a vehicle that can do that to any object, you have to take that into account when you design the map. You'd have to think about every bit of terrain and piece of architecture to keep players from exploiting them or otherwise going places they're not supposed to.

I'd like to see it be able to climb on walls, it definitely looks like it could. The jumping ability already gets you around pretty good.

...in the same manner that you cannot place flying vehicles in every map.
