    Question:

    May have been covered previously (Can't find an existing thread for the life of me), but is there a way to use the cinematic quality character models in-game over the "low-polygon" version models? The models are there (Due to the fact that the character customization interface uses the cinematic quality models when switching between different armor sets.), but unfortunately settings all graphical settings to maximum doesn't seem to correct this problem.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciate it.

      you could have make a better topic

      but anyway - I too would like to see these models in the game. As you said, since theyre already implemented, it shouldnt be so hard to get them into the actual game I guess.

        I'm assuming the reason why they decided to go for this route is to allow for a smoother framerate with older machines since the cinematic quality models do pack a hefty amount of polygon power, not to mention making the game run smoother on the console counter-parts. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely love the graphics but I am somewhat saddened.

          theyre actually all the same models, there is no "cinematic version", and even if there was one your pc could never render it in realtime, if you'd like to play ut3 with 5 hours delay between your action it would be fine though

            The character select models seem to look a bit better than the ones in play, but yeah, I doubt they're anywhere near those used in the pre-rendered scenes.

              Whatever the technical things behind this might be, fact is that theyre not the same. The one in the selection menu are highpoly models, the ingame arent.

                none of the current pcs on this planet is able to render high poly models in realtime....
                thats why they use lowpoly models with applied normalsmaps, which should look just as good as the highpoly ones... and the characters in char creation and ingame definatly look the same on my pc

                  Not sure if this is exactly what you wanted but it's as close as you're gong to get

                  EnableHighPolyChars=True in UTEngine.ini .
