Question about playing cards?

Might depend on difficulty setting? On the average setting, I had four cards at a time. (+2 Liandri, +2 Krall, -2 opponents, reinforced vehicles) Although on the difficult setting, I don't seem to be getting any cards?

Nope, myself I used the reinforcement card on Torlan Krall assault and never used cards before or after that - but still got the armor and instagib cards before finishing the plot.

Can you have more than one playing card at a time? It seems as if I get one and don't use it I never get another one. After I use it, I unlock another playing card? If you can get more than one, is there a limit?
