    Textures blurring in custom map meshes

    Ok, to clarify.. It seems every custom map I've downloaded (Not custom textures or meshes, just dif maps from the community), when I stand maybe 5 feet away from the mesh, the texture on it blurs out.. When I stand pretty much on top of it, it clears back up..

    Is there some kind of INI setting that I need to adjust to stop this from happening? It doesn't do it on the retail stock maps, just the user made ones

    I run the Texture detail on 2 and the world on 1.. If this happened with the stock maps, I wouldn't be as annoyed, but it only happens with user made maps ..

    Anyone know wtf is going on here?

      I bet the authors messed up the tex lod.

        Also check the map DOF effects are not set too agressively (if it's nothing to do with the materials themselves).
