Multiple in-game names per e-mail address?

Can I have more than one playing name per e-mail address? I also want to be able to play on servers under my UT99 name just in case anyone recognizes me.

Yes. You can have as many as you want per email.
Only restriction is no Alt-number characters and it also has some restrictions on using non-alphabetic ones.

Well this is cool to know. I've been going nuts. Every decent name I pick out is already in use, including my all time UT name Ikaros. Its been keeping me from playing UT3 at all since I bought the game yesterday afternoon! So I can create multiple profiles with different usernames using the same email and password if I'm reading you correctly?

Also can names have upper and lower case, for example UserName to signify two words since I gather you can't use spaces and such?

Yaknow, not having a simple "Change player name" option is just laughable. I can't imagine why they went this route.

God knows if I'll have any problems when I actually play a game. Just getting started whenever I get to make a simple player profile is super frustrating. Makes me sad since I bought a high end PC in July with a Q6600 processor, 2gb RAM, 8800GTX graphics, and 22" widescreen just to plan ahead for this game. Being all hyped up and sidelined with something so unexpected is unsettling.

from the looks of it the game sets ur ingame name based on ur account name.. but seems like u can change it afterall.. just be nice to save it somehow.. perhaps theres a way to edit one of the inis to do this?

Well after many tries I created a profile with the name FuryUnleashed. If I ever want to make a different name does my current one go away and up for grabs?

No, they seem to stay indefinitely. Which of course means that the pool of sensible names will dwindle and vanish over time... grab as many user names as possible while you still can!

Thats good in a way. But on the bad side it probably helps explains why every historical warrior character name seems to be already taken. There should be a multiple character profile editor and limits on how many you can have per each email account.
