How to make Warfare map semi-transparent?

Many elements of the hud/ui are rough, the font for ammo count has 6/8/9 that's nearly identical and some elements don't line up and got clear edges, give epic time and they'll smooth it out.

As this really black circle on the upper right of my screen is very annoying.
And it would be hard to believe they removed a method of making it transparent so the PC Gamer can enjoy his view.

In 2k4, we had the full capability of setting position, size, and transparency of our map.

Position and size are fine, but how do we set it to be semi-transparent?
