from what i understand UT3 will come out for MAC round spring of 2008
as far as the requirements i don't know
but i'm pretty sure it will be for the intel based macs
prolly 1.8Ghz at the least and 512mb of memory
and i doubt that the GMA 950 graphics card will work for UT3
if anyone knows for sure please let me know

Wish I could play it on my MacBook, but it would break that thing.

=Uff-da= repliedAssuming MacOSX and linux go hand and hand, it may be a bit of time b4 we see a client??

Btw, running windows software on a mac is just wrong... it's like taking a brand new porche and replacing the parts with Ford parts.... get a clue. (I'll be running UT3 on a PC.... until it comes out for Mac of course)

SleightOfHand repliedStill no one has answered the original question. Any official word Epic ppls? I have a Mac Pro, and I'd rather not have to boot into Windows to game, but if the Mac version will be a while then I'll have to do it. Is it Epic doing the Mac & Linux versions?

Sammy39 repliedI tend to wait on software till at least 3-4 months after it comes out to give them time to fix some of the bugs that always crop up. So that means the sooner they get UT3 out the sooner I will look at buying it. Between HDTV Sat, DVD/DVR and UT2004 there are plenty of entertaining things to do already. Assuming I have time for them to begin with. So I can wait.
Also, the "I love Macs" vs "total waste of money" argument is very old and tiresome. Every day people spend extra money on things that others would call excessive. Lets see... how many people pay more for iPods when there are cheaper ones around that work just fine? I guess they dont think iPods are a waste of money.

Pse repliedOriginally posted by Hickeroar View PostHonestly, if you're getting a mac pro, just buy a copy of XP or Vista to put on it for gaming. You'll get better performance in windows since it won't be running on top of the Transgaming layer and you won't be relying on old video drivers.
