Having a problem with installation

never get an error, it just dumps out of installing. right after clicking on language button. the splash comes up for about 2 seconds then nothing. tried temp thing..thanks for asking though
this is a new machine, new ram. been playing several other games just fine.

Still, test the RAM anyway, just for your peace of mind.

You could try looking at the Event Viewer for the error:
Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->Application

Some genius in another thread suggested system restore. It's installing now.

Why didn't I think of that earlier?

What we need to do is find out why the install program is crashing. Once we know that, we can fix it.

Run the install and then look in the Event Viewer and see if there is an error message. This may get us on the right track.

ok, not getting any error messages in event viewer. nothing, Just info messages , nothing that has to do with UT.

OK, I have the game now... Try this. Run the setup program from a command line like this: (replace D with your drive letter)

D:\SetupUT3.exe /verbose"c:\install.log"

This should hopefully create a log file with the error in it. Post it here.
