I've been mapping for 10 years now thanks, I'm 29. I don't need the tutorials, I just want them for reference and for the new features. I am mostly wanting something on the materials, making normal maps for textures is how they get such nice detail so I want to learn the process as fast as possible. Though I wish we were at a point that the polly count could be in the millions that is a few years off

3dBuzz did the tut's from what I have read so I am sure they will be good and most likely cover the basics of level building and importing meshes. Really hoping they go over the shader trees and building materials. Hopefully find out tonight.
well you never know, normal maps are a BIG part of the new engine. As for working with the new features like shaders and building materials that's what I want to see the most too. I got UT2004 collectors for the other types of tutorials, this engine has not changed much in those area's.

    Collectors edition tutorials

I have to wait till tomorrow to get mine because my local store did not get them today... So anyone who has the collectors edition can tell me what the tutorials are about? How many of them are there? Do they cover making normal maps in max for use in game? Anything interesting you can tell me will be appreciated much.
Working...
