I got the same email this morning, of a 26th delivery. Then during the day my order became "shipping soon" and I got the shipping notice an hour ago. So, they're probably not as delayed as feared.
Send an email to ecr@amazon.com , including your order number. Let them know how unacceptable you think this is. (that address goes directly to their Executive Customer Relations department..i.e., the people who work in corporate and who have the power to fix this sort of thing. It is not first-line, unknowledgeable, powerless customer service people).
Yeah, same deal here, they already charged me, but the site says they plan on shipping it on the 24th.
Even though when you pre-order things, they say they won't charge you until they ship.
Lame-sauce.
i went to my local fry's electronics store and they didnt have them on the shelves yet so couldnt confirm if the 39.99 was just an online price. one of the 45 gamestops in my city had plenty though.
