NO Anthology with preorder at Gamestop, did I get screwed?

I didnt get mine either. I called the gamestop head quarters and they straightened it out so I will be getting it tomorrow since I do not feel like going back today. They got 7 UT3s and 7 UTAs. All of the Anthologies were marked $20 and in their systems plus they had no idea and the manager had no idea Anthologies was suppose to come with it.

I didnt even get my character card. I guess I will get that tomorrow also. It seems I have to bug the gamestop here because it took me over a month to get the Metal Gear Saga DVD with the MGS3S Limited Edition preorder.

To jump on this long list, I didn't get it either. The Anthologies were sitting right next to the UT3's behind the counter. I told the cashier I was supposed to get a copy of Anthology. She told me the manager, who told me it didn't come with the game.

I was pretty sure he was wrong but didn't feel like arguing with him over a bonus I don't need. Once I install UT3, I suspect I won't be going back to the original versions.

At this point I'm simply fed up with gamestop/ebgames, I'll be glad once they actually release the product I already payed in full for. Anthologies is not a big loss for me, but playing the waiting game on something that was suppose to be released on the 19th. It makes you wonder where things went downhill.

Take the printout from the website to the store!!!!

I took mine. The manager knew nothing about it. Put my order number in the computer and it the anthology came up as a free sale.

Done deal. They did not get the word at the store level on the bonus deal.

Go back to your store with your receipt and get it.

If I were you guys I would be hassling them until I got somewhere instead of just giving up after the manager says no. I never take no for an answer, and its included on their site. Just go print it out and take it to them, if not talk to customer service right in front of them. I've worked customer service before and it's not hard to get somewhere if you start going up the chain and talking to the right people.

There's no excuse for them not knowing, its their problem and theyre responsible for false advertising or internal miscommunications.

Well, when I picked mine up they had the box the game shipped in right at the counter and the ANTHOLOGY discs were shipped in the same box. Now the "character card"...was that a physical card or something that was supposed to be in the box or what?

I went to GameSpot and picked up my game. When I left and got back to work I looked at the gamestop site and realized I should of received the Anthology. I called them back and they said it was not free and I had to pay for it. So I then called gamespot customer service and they told me they should have not asked me to pay for it. I called back the store and spoke with a manager and he told me to come and pick it up.

The guy that sold me the game and spoke to me on the phone at 1st didn't know. So make sure you talk with a manager if someone gives you a hard time. I went back to the store after work and picked up my copy.

The manager here had no idea also. They wanted me to pay $20 for it. I already own all the games and the only reason I would want Anthology is to have them all in one box. I am going to put my copy of Unreal Tournament 2003 in it also. But I guess I will get it tomorrow around 4:30 PM on the way to class.

The card is a slip of paper with the UT3 logon on it and a number. Go back to the store and get it...

I asked for and got the manager to handle everything. I was not ready to leave without everything.

Just got back from GameStop and they had my preorder and Anthology rubber banded together but they forgot the bonus player card. Grrrr OMW back to get that.

I did however have a printout of the offer in my back pocket just incase.

I didn't get one with my CE either... but I bought the anthology when it came out so I didn't fight for something I already had.

The way I look at it, I don't need an extra software title as incentive to buy a collectors edition. The metal box was worth it already... nevermind the art book and bonus disc.

Well, when I went to gamestop the character card didn't ship with the game and same with the anthology... even tho I already have all the retail versions. :/

Yep, gamestop employees clueless about "Anthology bonus offer"

I had the same experience. The gamestop employees had no clue about the "Anthology bonus offer" as described on the website. They kept making reference to the UT3 collector's edition tin with the bonus DVD content. They insisted the Anthology was for sale at $19.99.

Bonus offer on website states for pre-ordering, but I had not rushed to pre-order UT3 since I already have most of the stuff on that disk. Thanks to the previous poster that included the phone number for gamestop's customer service.
