    I don't get any blur with DOF on, post-processing Vivid, and all settings maxed, only distance fog, which can be turned off with a console command.

      This is how I see the game w/o DOF (and bloom) by tweaking colors outside the game on the gfx card drivers. I've edited the images to show as close as possible how I see the game on my monitor.

      There are lots of other possibilities but I like to play this way

        I'm sorry, but without DOF, those look like UT2004 to me. In fact, I have a graphics mutator for UT2004 that makes the game look better than those screenshots.

          Those look great, better than that grey and fuzzy stuff. Looks more like real life instead of the visually impeared look (at least these pictures look more to real life to me than others, could be other people have different experiences when they see things)

          I got the same graphics card and driver, what are the display settings?(vibrance, hue/ etc...) got to try that out

            i dont think the game wants to look "real" but to look unreal

            its name is "Unreal Tournament" not "Real Tournament"

                This is after increasing color intensity. I edited the images on my 2nd monitor which has default color settings from the drivers, to match what I see on the 1st monitor ingame.

                For each row, the 2 on the right are with more intense colours, that's how I play
                With DOF, post-processing normal:

                No DOF and no bloom, Postprocessing Intense:

                  Those images to the right are what the game should look like. I really hope Epic includes a little "Disable our overdone desaturation" option in some future patch.

                    Since we are at it, for crispier image you can also apply Image Sharpness if you have a GeForce 6 or 7. No cookie for 8600 or 8800 , but this RivaTuner setting helps:

                        I hate overcolored visuals, that's the main thing I disliked in Quake3 and many UT2003 maps.. In fact, I find dark colors tranqile and comfortable - and overuse of bright ones seems clowny and stupid. Good UT3 is like this!

                          I voted for pie since the poll options are skewed. I think the good that did come out of this thread are the tips for increasing vibrance and helping to saturate color to different people's tastes. I can't wait to see the game for myself to find out about the "grey" situation, but I can only think of the Depth of Field being enabled that would cause that.

                            Attempting To Help

                            Personaly I Like The Curret Style But I Did Notice This When I Was Fidling With UTengine.ini

                            [Engine.Player]
                            PP_DesaturationMultiplier=1.0
                            PP_HighlightsMultiplier=1.0
                            PP_MidTonesMultiplier=1.0
                            PP_ShadowsMultiplier=1.0

                            Can Any Confirm If These Work?

                            My Corsiar Sticks Failed So I Only Got A Few Days Of Play Out Of The Beta Demo

                            Im Guessing That For Less Washed Out Look You'd

                            Change PP_DesaturationMultiplier=1.0 to PP_DesaturationMultiplier=0.0 Or Mybe A Negitave Value like -0.8

                              Those screenies i took are with World Detail set to lowest, which seems to do basically the same thing as setting DepthofField off.

                              IOW, bloom, motion blur, fog are OFF, that's why there is color.

                              If you run things at defaults, it looks all dark, brown, & bright shiney white with basically no color.

                              Myself, i actually find the screenshots look okay at defaults.

                              But actual gameplay i cannot tolerate w/ bloom on.
