Resolution anomaly...I bought a new 22" widescreen monitor(2000:1CR, 2MS response time etc...)but mostly cuz i'm tired of my 1280x1024 17" monitor. Anyways I was playing UT3 with all the settings maxed, with a new resolution of 1680x1050, and I'll be damned if I wasn't getting around 10fps higher performance all the time...does anyone know how or why this could happen when bumping UP the res?

I know some games have certain resolutions they're more optimized at. -

my 7800gtx runs much better at 1280x1024 than at 1680x1050, so it's probably video card-related.Comment

the 8800 runs better when its being used - higher res - higher quality makes it run smooth - but i would suggest turn bloom and blur offComment

There's also lots about the LCD refresh rate.
My 22" can't do more than 60 on it's native res (1680x1050), and only does 75hz on 1024x768. However, the latter res looks like ****, and i can't find any other good res that ut3 and my monitor supports. Plus i can't find the right fov either... D:Comment
