PS3 split screen details?

Does anyone know about this? Will there be none? 2 player? 4 player?
I'd assume you can fill the game with bots offline right?
I do go online occassionally with games, but I prefer not to deal with others when I'm gaming (it's my chance to get away from others). Instead I like to play with my family and friends at home.

This is my main deciding point between computer and ps3 version.
Please don't tell me PC version is better with mouse and keyboard or better graphics. I know that, it just isn't MY main reason for gaming.

as far as i know there is split screen play (most likely 2 player only) and you can fill bots in if you want something extra to kill besides your family/friends

I only heard the split screen in reference to the 360 version. Does anyone have any confirmation of a ps3 2 player split screen?
