Storyline?

Quoted cus its full of truth. while I also strongly suspect it will be similar to UT2k4, I think its best to keep an open mind. Epic has said many times tht they have tried to make a good SP mode since many dont go online so we may be suprised.

I guess there will be some sort of backgroud story, but as they say we will be able to create a custom team for the SP, maybe you won't be playing with the Izanagi, who seems to be the main team in the game. So probably it won't keep tied to a story so directly, maybe this whole 'open warfare war' that is going on is just a background to justify this tournament, or maybe it's going to be decided in this seasons tournament...
