Confirmation needed from EPIC: UT3 out on 12th in Germany ?

Ahh now i must buy the german Version (i hate our german Translations and the reduced Gore) - could someone from Epic please confirm or at least deny if our German Version will be like all other UT Releases over here Multilingual so i can still play it in english and without the reduced Gore (like it was with UT2003/UT2004)? - i am 25 and hate how the games over here get censored.

If it's censored, it simply stays censored unless the inis are tweakable. And as far as I know, they are not this time. :[ I have ordered the uncut version, not sure if I will get that one earlier too. I hope so, because the stamping factory seems to be in Germany, as someone mentioned in this thread.

Then essentially this will be a good business decision by Midway. They will release the German censored version early so the Germans will actually buy it and then a week later they will all be driving across the border to their nearest Euro neighbor to buy the normal version too.

Epic does not decide the release dates after the game has gone gold. They ship the master disk to the publisher who makes the release date decisions. You should go post this question in the Midway forums. It will likely get ignored/locked/deleted there also though.

The first Midway employee I asked said that i will be out by August 2006. Then I think Midway will tell EPIC about the release dates., and it is easier to ask here than to register over there.

Dont worry, the version that we get is better than the watered down gore version that they get anyways.

Hahahaha, lolololol. The German version includes the English version they said (just maybe with reduced gore). And the bloodpatch for the last game was out before UT2004 was in stores.

@Chiln_Viln: I heard about that rumour in other forums too. :P Sounds like a good business decision, but I can't believe that it would really work. Most casual gamers over here will play UT along with games like Crysis, CoD, whatever and don't care much about the censorship and are used to it anway; also because lots of them played the censored previous UT versions and didn't know about the ini tweaks.

And the "harcore" players will order their uncensored version and wait 10 days, if necessary. I don't think that many people are mad enough to buy the game twice and spend 100€ again after all their rig upgrades. ^^

im pretty sure the version which will be released in germany will be multilanguage and is just censored by ini settings ... so ill get it on the 12th .. if its not multilanguage and censored in another way ill just bring it back to the freaking store

As I'll ait for the Linux-client before I spend my money, I'll either be waiting for a gore-patch or I'll get a version from the netherlands. It's a good opportunity to buy cheap beer there too.

I wouldn't count on UT3's german version being as easy to unlock as UT2004. I mean, UT2004 only required a patched Engine.dll, while UT3 might actually have the content removed. Nobody knows.
I'll definitely wait until players messed with it before making up my mind, which version to buy.

Could you ask someone from Midway if the German version is multilingual. I don't care about gore (prefer to play with reduced gore anyway) but I wouldn't be able to stand the German translation / announcers.

I think, they don't want the players to buy it again (lol). in y opinion, they just want us to buy the censored versions before the uncensored comes out, because otherwise we would just order the uncensored.
