Should I get UT3: Collector's Edition for PC....but then I would only play it on low or meduim settings......

I guess you should purchase it if you have a hard on for collectors boxes, toys, extras, and etc... I know I am and have it on order for myself just so I can get my hands on the action figure! But what I really ordered for is so that I can get my hands on the content for the editor!!! Main thing for me is getting in there and rippin in to the editor. Sooooo

You know the 360 version wont have as many maps as the pc one right? (well to start with anyway?)

I would take into consideration also that Gears for PC has higher res textures re-done from the source as they are not as good on 360.........

i had a AMD 3500+, a 7800GT, 1,5GB mem. and online (eveything on lowest possible, and newest drivers etc) i had drops to like 25fps on certains spots during heavy fights, basicly the avarage fps was around 40 i think. unplayable! so upgrade ur pc :>

heh I get 40 average on Day of Defeat source (32 player) but the game is paced slower so it's actually more than enough but for UT it's too low to keep up with the action.

PC hands down. And Hell ya on the collectors edition. Normally I class them as wastes of money but UT is just so **** awesome that I'm getting the UT special edition.

Well i'll try to get a 320mb and 1 more gig of ram.....oh yea and for those who think they're the sh*t for having 40fps right now......this is just a beta and the real game wll make 40 drop to maybe 10-15 FPS with everything up on highest......so yea.....

I don't care if i'll play it on meduim because in the 360 the graphics will look like meduim anyways....as long as I can play it....

sorry to disappoint you, but Mark Rein was just quoted by Playstation Magazine as saying that UT3 will no longer be released for the PC. PS3 and XBOX360 only. But luckily, there will still be support for keyboard and mouse on the consoles.

Just upgrade your computer if you have a job/money, i would never play ut on a console.
