Monster hunt was a popular fan-made game mode in UT99 that involved players playing a short level filled with Unreal monsters, much like a regular FPS level. Does anyone want to remake it? The original makers of planetmonsterhunt.com are dead

The only difficulty with modding something like this, or Invasion, is the lack of monster models.

they were kewl, but i think it would be fun to have a "hunt the skaarj" gamemode.

Running through monster hunts online was the best thing possible before i started to play competitively. UT99 monster hunt+ RPG mutator for UT2004= campaign-style online play for UT.

don't see why it shouldn't be. Well, you might have to run it through a third party program to optimize it for the engine, but it should be pretty easy.

Only problem is that the monsters in UT2004's invasion were from the Unreal engine, so if they start appearing in UT3, it will look rat ****.

UT99 Monster Hunt was way fun. Good way to kill time when you don't feel like being very competitive against other players. Good Co-op work against noob monster bots.

Anyway, I think 2k4 killed it with invasion... where you were stuck in a simple map 10ft map the whole time. UT99 let map makers get creative... had to figure things out as you went through... sometimes making additional parts of the map only reachable when you work with others...

I hope they bring that back... or someone comes out with a mod.

hm its possible tough just find someone that have some exp with that kinda sjizzle i tought someone named scorpionhunter said he was from planet monsterhunt i dunt know him saw him on a ut99 server so if anyone sees him ask him maybe he can explain why planet monsterhunt is dead or why it isnt in ut 3

I was going to give it a try eventualy, because i too love Monster Hunt.
Still play it occasionaly on a server with plenty of custom content.
Wicked monsters and plenty of em!
Anyways, i'm only familiar with the editor in the way of making new maps.
Don't have a clue on how to make a Monster and have it move properly, but if anyone is wiling to make such things, i'm willing to make some maps!

Is this mod where unliminted ammo and regenerating health? I think it be much interesting and challenging if it ammo limited and no health regen.
