    Some help would be nice!

I just installed UT3 on my computer, but I got some problems..
The game starts up correct, the logotypes flash by. But that's the only thing that happens. After the logotypes, I get a black screen and the computer just stops there. After a minute or two the computer reboots, with no error or whatsoever.

    My specs:
    Windows XP (Home Edition)
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ (2.21*2Ghz)
1 GB RAM DDR2 (PC6400 I think, 800 Mhz) - I know this is kinda low, but I will upgrade it anyday.
Nvidia (PCIE) 7950GT PCX (512 mb)
    A Power Supply of 550W

So it meets the minium and the recommended system requirements, any idea why it wont work?

    Many thanks in advance!

had the same problem at work with a 7300 card till I installed the nvidia 163.71 drivers. Then it ran fine.

Upgraded my memory to 3gb, and it works well now.
Dunno if that was the real problem, but it helped at least!

      Well, thanks anyway!

Usually black screens occur from bad video drives, please update to the latest video driver and make sure that it is working correctly.

Always update software before updating hardware, but glad you fixed your problem. I'd go ahead and install the newer drivers anyways, because it's mostly a good thing to be updated. you're likely to get better performance.

yeah go to the demo feed back topic, allot of solutions there
