    No reason to leave out the Razor

    This game really does play a lot like the original UT. Seeing as how there are a lot less wide open areas and more confined spaces, why leave this awesome weapon out?

    EDIT: whoops, I meant ripper. It's the weapon that shot out disc blades that bounced around a few times or exploding disc blades. Sorry about that.

      Well in UT you could make it bounce around corners at least semi-reliably, since UT had a lot fewer polys, a corridor was 2 walls a ceiling and a floor, usually 4 flat surfaces or with some trim between the walls and floor/roof, but in UT2 and UT3 especially a corridor isn't mostly flat surfaces anymore, there are tons of small detail things all over that means a disc bouncing of a wall doesn't have a predictable flight anymore.

              Yes but outsides of buildings are a lot less complex than some interior walls, and I don't doubt that Epic has had a nightmare adding blocking volumes on static meshes to make it bounce reliably.

                in addition to what mort mentioned - the flak primary also bounces around. not only that, but there is even a somewhat random quality to the uninterrupted flight of the flak.

                      Ripper, Razorjack, etc. Alt-Fire was different, but basically the same weapon.

                        Yeah just give the weapon the same inventory number in its code as another weapon like the instagib and shock in 04 but it doesn't work in UT3 =[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[
