Q6600 vs. E6850 - ut3 Benchmarks?

hi,

are there any ut3 benchmarks(or at least multi core benchmarks)?
i dont know what cpu i should buy, q6600 or e6850 :/
which one is faster in ut3?

wanna know how a e6850 would perform, but there is none in this benchmark :S

well what the article basically says is that while the e6850 has a 1333FSB it won't actually matter all that much when it comes down to in game performance... Its much more important to make sure you get a 4MB Cache, which the Q6600 has.

It also shows that 4 cores are better than 2 (nice and simple, eh?)

I'd go with the q6600, as it will probably perform better (or at least identically), and if you overclock it will perform better.

it would most likely perform somewhere between the Q6600 and the Q6700... close to the Q6700. you can kinda "guestimate" it from the charts in the Anandtech article.

BTW, a new chip will be released in Nov with 6 or 10mb L2 cache, so atleast wait for that (so other prices perhaps will fall). Sorry, I can't find that article.

I'm running a Q6600, but I haven't the guts to overclock it yet due to possible instability issues.
