    Link Gun?

Okay so I was playing VCTF the other day and I asked if link gun linking still existed and everyone said it didn't. I find it odd that this is untrue. While standing close to someone who also has the link gun out a short yellow beam will appear and using Secondary will start the link. o_O Unless it doesn't do anthing, I haven't tested yet.

How exactly does it work and what does it look like when it's working? I still haven't got this sorted yet. :/

When it's working the Link Gun beam will turn gold while used on a fellow link gun teammate near you. You know you're close enough when it shows a faint beam connecting you to the teammate.

I remember also reading somewhere that it would be possible in UT3 to link mantas to increase their plasma cannon's damage, but I haven't tried it.

Just ask yourself this: even in UT2004, how often does something like that happen?
