Does enabling hardware physix (whithout a dedicated physix card)increase performance?

With a dualcore amd x2 6000+,3gb ram, 8600gt 512mb ram ,does enabling hw physics increase performance?

No, Hardware physics makes the spiffy bouncy physics we all know and love from Epic. Software basically just makes the characters trip and fall on their face in a really boring way.
