still can't work out how to play online!

i have tried to get online, first it asks you to login then says your pasword is wrong! is this my own password or am i missing something? then i say play offline to get me past this screen then i go to multiplayer then no servers coming up! what am i doing wrong? please talk me through it in laymans terms

Don't have a clue what you mean! i have been in game out of game done everything UT2k4 is so much easier to use than this it's really driving me nuts!

it was annoying me at the start too, because i figured you use you vanilla gamespy account details to log in. not quite - heres what you do:

Make a gamespy account.

Then get in to the game and get to the account sections.

Then head to create profile - Pick a nick-name and then use your gamespy account details to register to play ut3 online.

then sign in using the nickname you used when creating profile.

or something like that. I just tried to create a new profile again and it didnt give me any of the grief it did the first time.

I just entered a nick name, made a password for the profile and chucked my e-mail in (was the same one i used to register with gamespy, as it told me to - even tho i already had)

thanks yeti but it doesn't work, when i say it doesnt work i am trying to find my gamespy details from then, i can't believe you have to register it !!!!! i am really struggling with this as i am not great at this sort of thing when it asks me for e mail i use the @ key and it blacks the screen out as if you are trying to do stat fps! i might just have to not bother it's pi****g me right off

oooooo now i get ya. Yeah thats a problem with you keyboard type - What you need to do is write your e-mail in notepad, and highlight it then press control + c (copy)

Get in to the game and press control+v to paste the e-mail in the box.

That skips having to press the @ key ingame

Yeah, that's a problem with UK keyboards.. it's a known bug.

Knowing how to copy/paste is really helpful when using a computer.. you sure you don't wanna learn that someday? Using copy/paste is a way to get around this bug so I dunno.. sometimes you have to do things in life that are new but in this case the reward for you will be playing UT3 online!!! Can you imagine lol
